英國格林威大獎 (The Kate Greenaway Medal)

格林威大獎是由英國圖書館學會(The Library Association)於1955年創設，該獎項的設立是為紀念十九世紀的兒童插畫家凱特‧格林威女士(Kate Greenaway)，該獎設有「年度最傑出的兒童插畫家」、「最佳推薦獎」及「榮譽獎」。這些獎項每年由英國圖書館學會邀請「青少年圖書館協會」（The Youth Libraries Group）會長、副會長及圖書館協會成員組成「評選委員會」負責評分。該獎項的評分標準非常嚴格，著重創作精神與出版形式是否能夠符合大會遴選的角度並從繪本的編排及設計去考量，對於插畫部分，更是精挑細選，強調插圖主題必須能讓小孩理解、有所共鳴，而且講究圖文間的和諧性，就連版面設計也馬虎不得，足見格林威大獎能在許多國際權威的大獎執牛耳絕非一朝一夕。
